Many thanks for your post I do believe that User007 is referring to the photograph of Plk. Patryk O’Brien de Lacy, we all agree that the first photograph of a Armoured Bn NCO is wearing the Polish Uniform. But User007 is referring to the photograph shown below :



Patryk O’Brien de Lacy when serving in the Russian Army.

By the way I own the dagger that belonged to Mr. O'Brien and I believe this is the dagger that can be seen on the first picture, see attached:
The dagger has inscription on the blade: "Panu Podpulkownikowi O'Brien de Lacy 17. III. 1937 B.B.Techn. Br.Panc."
