    I hope someone can help me shed some light on the provenance of this tunic?

    I believe it's late 40s. The buttons have communist eagles and the piping at the collar and cuffs is a green/blue colour.

    Reminds me of post-war work units - work tunic.

    Thanks for your reply, it certainly looks like a lot of work has been done in it.

    I'm interested in the piping around the epaulettes, cuffs and collar. Does the blue/green signify anything?

    I got this tunic about 20 years ago now and the seller (a chap in Kołobrzeg) told me it was 1945 pattern LWP.
