    Gentlemen

Could I have your opinions on these badges

I don't like the 4 Scorpion pennons - they look too new and 'feel' thin or light weight

The 1PAM i'm less sure about. It's got age but is it the real thing??

    Many thanks for your comments

    Happy Christmas to all

The later single piece Skorpion collars do feel of very poor quality and the enamel very soft and easily chipped. Brass backing plates are correct and spinner style is also correct. These look typical examples. Aeons ago I posted photos of couple of pairs that I have which you could compare your examples against.

Hello James, and happy Christmas to you as well.

Agreed with Stefan on the pennons. They are genuine. One of two main types:

The 1 PAMot badge is also genuine with spinner pilfered from a Picchiani & Barlacchi product. The badge is made by Steinhauer in Germany early post war. The small retaining nut is missing and the two parts have been soldered together. Unaltered badges with issue spinners:

It's always best to ask first before plonking down the cash, but you lucked out this time. You were in dangerous waters as copies of the 1 PAMot badge are VERY deceptive, and there's 20 of those for every good one. No coal in your stocking for Christmas, so must've behaved yourself this past year!

    Cheers,
    Tony
