A new film about Polish 303 Squadron is born. This year the film's premiere, but the date is not known

Hello Everyone,

On the 7th September 2017 the film crew and some of the stars of the film came to London and the PISM where they where shown artefacts belonging to 303 Squadron.











They also where introduced to HRH Prince Michael of Kent younger brother of the Duke of Kent



The Polish Actors portraying the Pilots of 303 Squadron in the Movie are as follows:

























I am looking forward to seeing the film when it comes out on DVD

I’m looking forward to this one. Hope it’s better than Dunkirk, which I was quite disappointed with despite the overall positive reviews it received. Another case of a letdown after expecting too much from reading comments about how good it was.

I am afraid that the film about the 303 Squadron might be a failure. Very small budget, trouble with the ending of the film, etc. It may be a spectacular disaster. I would like to be optimistic, but ...

Should be worth watching, i always tell bigots about 303 squadron when the moan about Poles living in the UK, it usually shuts them up!..

Franciszek Kornicki

In September 1939, Poland was invaded by both Hitler’s Germany and Stalin’s Russia, and the Polish Kornicki found himself flying an outdated PZL P.7 fighter in a losing battle. Undaunted by the collapse of Poland’s defences, he, like thousands of other servicemen, made his way to Britain to continue fighting. His ability as a pilot and quiet authority were noticed and, in February 1943, he took command of 308 Squadron which operated Spitfire Vbs. He was, at 26, the youngest squadron commander in the Polish Air Force. After surviving more than three years in the front line, Franciszek became a staff officer in 1944. After the war, Poland was controlled by Stalin’s communists, so he decided to remain in exile and joined the RAF; serving as an officer for over 20 years. Franciszek Kornicki has been an active member of the Polish community in Britain, the Polish Air Force Association in particular. In December 2016, he celebrated his 100th birthday. He is the last surviving Polish World War Two squadron commander.

3, They drink beer.
4, They like football.
5, The Polish ladies are rather fetching.
6, During the war, when we needed help, they flew Spitfires and Hurricanes.
