    Question Air Force Watches

    Hi
I was wondering if the Poles were issued watches in the RAF when they joined up? and if so what brand was it? I have a picture of my Uncle and he is wearing a watch but I cant make what kind it is.

    Thanks

Most major watch manufacturers made military timepieces.

Pocket watches I've seen for the Brits and Canucks are marked
'GST' on the back for: General Service Timepiece.

Hard to say with a wrist watch as it could very well be privately
purchased, unless it has a 'broad arrow' mark on the face.

Can you show us a photo?

    Regards, Steve.

Here’s one that sold on ebay last year for 720GBP. I’ll leave it up to the experts to comment on its authenticity.

I remember that one Tony ....
.. Not the standard engraving ....... on a military item ...

.. As for the timepieces ... the RAF types do seem to command quite high prices !

Chris, Assuming you're using a Microsoft operating system use your "Windows Pictures and Fax Viewer", or most other picture vieing programs to shrink them. If all else fails send a PM to me and I'll post for you.
