It's often passed off as a pre-war wz.19, but this one falls squarely into the realm of fantasy fakes.

There are some "strange" things with this BD !
Gary J.
Hello!
I don't want to have this bd in my collection
Regards
I don’t like this one at all. Some of my concerns fall into a grey area that could be argued, but the sum total screams ‘put together’, at least to me. While there are certainly more qualified members here to comment on the Polish para items, I’ll just say:
1) rank stripes are strange type I’ve never seen on an authentic period tunic
2) shoulder titles look freshly applied, and are of a type commonly seen on put togethers
3) one would think a VM winner’s best BD would have the typical custom tailored open collar, and a more deluxe tunic rather than one of these austerity issues
4) the collar kites are highly suspect (petehal comes to mind)
5) usually uneasy seeing a Belfast made tunic, which are common on the surplus unissued market – as this tunic appears to be with the fresh looking collar lining among other things
It looks like someone knows just enough about Polish issue BD’s to have put in a C+ effort at a recreation. It shouldn’t fool too many serious collectors.

T.

dorava,
Just like the last one, doesn't impress me in the least. Same ‘surplus’ shoulder titles as the last one, so often seen on the put-togethers. Looks like it was all stitched up this morning. Anyone want to wager that the tunics visible in the pic sitting just behind this one are also as fresh looking on unissued surplus austerity pattern tunics? . . .
Regards,
Tony
Indeed
Also the Cross of Valor and Wound Bar ribbon look to fresh and new,
