A very solid history of the 1 Pulk Ulanow and their deeds during WW2. A tiny treat is an appendix consisting of a list with Monte Cassino cross recipients.

Two book to die for, if you had any realtives who served in the 3 PAL. Luczyniskis, who was an officer in 3 PAL, was awarded the Virtuti Militari for his actions during the battle for Monte Cassino.

Allow me to add that there are very interesting stories in both books also for those who don't have any personal ties to that specific unit
