Hey Stefan
All the best with The Auschwitz Volunteer should be a big success. An English edition of Bitwa o Monte Casino translated by Aquila Polonica I think is long overdue! Personnel feeling it that it would be a huge success and appeal to the many English speaking descendents of those those who fought there. I hope its in the works.
Chris.......
Thanks Chris...will keep Cassino in mind Also looking for new work re Polish paras any thoughts welcome?

You will like it I am sure! It is a very thorough book by a respected military history academic although this is I believe her first on Poland WWII. There are a couple of very minor points I found at first glance one for example is in the Polish Armed Forces order of battle appendix in which the commanders are incorrectly given the rank of General. But her overall perspective is IMO excellent. It is good to see such a comprehensive and current study and IMO should be in every academic and local library to spread the message of Poland's role and positive contribution to the Allies in WWII. I have four further copies on order for that purpose.

Also any recommendation for detailed books in English that focuses specifically on the Polish 1st Armoured Division in the operations leading to and battles at Falaise-Chambois, 1944? Also the operations and battles at Gent and Breda. Thanks.
