Hej
I would ask what you think about this description ?
"Kochanemu Dowódcy Panu por Witkowskiemu - na pamiątkę wspólnego wojowania na wypadzie pod Medauarem - podkomendni 11 listopada 1941"
"To beloved The Commander Lieutenant Witkowski - to commemorate the joint
waging war on the foray under Medauarem Hill - subordinates November 11, 1941"
I presume this information is about 2nd Lieutenant Jerzy Witkowski, who was on the night patrol on 8th/9th November. Does anyone have more information about this patrol and Lieutenant Witkowski?
Regards
Sebastian
Hi,
The new item - an album the soldier from BSK /SBSK - Carpathian Brigade
I collect, therefore I am.
Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.
My congrats, Sebol! Pretty nice stuff. Are there any pics showing captured weapons or equipment?
Regards,
Tom
Hi Tomas !
Thank you for your kind words
No, unfortunately there is nothing of these things... but I'm also interested in this subject, have a look on our forum.
Most pictures are from Palestine - so mostly French equipment, weapon & uniforms.

Thanks for the link, Sebol. I've got one of those pics, the one with the dog and MGs laying on the ground . I wonder if Carpathians took any of those heavy weapons with them to use in action in Italy. Probably not, but who knows...
Pozdrawiam,
Tom
Hi Thomas,
If you ever go to the Sikorski Museum in London, just inside the entrance hall is a Gun from a Polish tank that the germans captured in 1939, they in turn put it to use in one of their panzers only to have it captured by soldiers of the Carpathian Brigade.
Best wishes
Andrzejku
