Cross of valour pre war type ?

My friend have this medal anyone can tell more about this type

Hello Helldude,

Your friends KW was made by the Warsaw firm of Jan Knedler who produced this cross numbered from 3001 -42500, it is missing its ring and the ribbon looks to be a modern produced replacement ribbon.

Unfortunately there is no Register listing the Names of the Recipients, Polish Army Daily Orders only lists those that where awarded to Foreign Military Personnel.

So without the Legitymacja your friend has a nice Numbered Krzyz Walecznych.
