    My guess, and its only a guess, would be that some of the soldiers asked the maker to either place a number on their badge, after showing a matching award document or that some additional badge were made at a later stage. In have a attached a photo of a badge from the first order.

    It also possible that Panasiuk did this on the badges he produced....

    I came across this book in an internet search. By any chance would it be about the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment in WW2 or is it a different regiment?

    The book that Tom told me about from the start of the thread;

    OD ŚNIEGÓW SYBIRU DO POMARAŃCZ GAJU seems to be quite hard to track down as well. I found these pictures though;







    Would this book be excursively about the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment?
