Thought I would share this . Its a new addition to my collection, size is about 7 foot long, retains original clips. This belonged to a Polish soldier who was taken POW and served with the Polish grenadiers at the fall of France.
cheers

Hi Steve,
Thanks for sharing this interesting and unique flag. Obviously designed to hang vertically. At 7 feet tall a little larger than the traditional guidon, but a very cool item nonetheless. I suppose the original soldier you mentioned it belonged to acquired it after his time as a POW?
Regards,
Tony

Hi Tony ,
Sadly the only info ,came from the other items , he was captured and interned in Stalag IV b , and was a Polish Volunteer from Belgium.
I was informed the flag was pre 1940 ? he was captured on this date. that's all I know !!
Do love it though , a very impressive item !! :-)
Hello Steve;
Great item!
I love to hear that it belongs to a Volunteer from Belgium!
It is unfortunate that there is no name attached to the flag;
if it was, ten there was research potential for sure.
Kind regards,
Pieter.
