I would say there will be more "climbing" than "walking" given the terrain at Monte Cassino....no wonder it took so long and so many lives to dislodge the German defenders.

Hello everyone, I've just realised that I've got more on Monte Cassino Cross 7079, which I've had tucked away since March 2008! Not very speedy, sorry. This isn't the complete group by any means, and sadly seems to illustrate how such pieces of someone's life story can be scattered to the four points of the compass. Also, I have no document for the Cross of Merit, nevertheless I'm so pleased to be able to add something useful to this amazing site, best to all
Congratulations DRAGON!!! Very nice set of items !!! Maybe you will find the Monte Casino Cross with this number - I hope so.
Regards,
Jacek
Hi Jacek, it is such a lovely collection isn't it! It would appear that our very own JENKSI has the Monte Cassino cross, please see posts 34, 36 and 37 in this very thread. Its a small world in some ways, so goodness knows what Clare will think when she sees this.
Best regards, Dragon
Wow, wonderful finding - congratulations!!! The question is how to join together this Monte Cassino Cross with its document?
Regards,
Jacek

Andrzejku,
You are Monte Cassino Crosses Expert. I have a request.
Are you able to provide information what was the number of Monte Cassino Cross given to Lt. Stefan DOMZAL? He served in supply troops of the 3rd Carpathian Rifles Division (3DSK).
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Rafal
