    Hey Andrzej

Would you have images for these five individuals?

    PPOR. BIAŁECKI LUDOMIR
    KPR. AMBROŻEJ EDWARD
    KPR. BOGDAJEWICZ EUGENIUSZ
    KPR. KARCEWICZ BOLESŁAW
    KPR. NIECKOWSKI JÓZEF

Four were killed at Monte Cassino when their tank was destroyed by mines on May 12, 1944. The fifth, NIECKOWSKI, died of his injuries on May 18, 1944.

Below is an image of NIECKOWSKI (I’d by xx) with friends in Egypt 1942 care of EUGENIUSZ PIETRUSIEWICZ - 2nd POLISH CORPS 1942-1947

    Hello Chris,

I have looked through the Regiments Photographic Album from the 1970's the only photograph connected with the crew is of their Tank, which became the 4PPanc Memorial.

The only other information that I came across is as follows:

Por sp. Ludomir Bialecki awarded the Silver Cross Virtuti Militari Nr: 10087

Plutowny sp. Edward Ambrozej awarded KW

Kapral sp. Eugeniusz Bogdajewicz awarded KW

Kapral sp. Boleslaw Karczewicz awarded KW

Plutowny sp. Jozef Jan Nickowski awarded KW

I will keep looking and will post anything else that I find.

    Best wishes

    Andrzej

    Hey Andrzej

Coincidentally enough that image is from my uncle's personal photo album, he was a mechanic in the regiment attached to No. 3 Squadron in its repair section and likely knew Bialecki and his crew quite well. His name was Michal Krzywoszanski. Picture was taken at San Vittore del Lazio in late May early April 1944. Image was posted to an Italian website a few years back, the fellow who ran the site later gave me a great tour of the battlefield and Monte Cassino.
