    Many thanks for your post,the Monte Cassino Cross that you have posted has been cleaned removing the original finish to the cross the ribbon is original.

    The recipients details when awarded were as follows:

    Rank : Strzelec (Rifleman)

    Surname : CIESLAK

    Christian Name : Józef

    Date of Birth : 1920

    Army Number : (also found on His ID Tags) : 1920-52-III

    Unit : KGD2K

    Dawid did you pick this piece up in Poland, because a Józef Cieslak Born 23rd September 1920 died 6th July 1969, Buried 9th July 1969 in the Grabiszyn Cemetery in Wrocław. He is the closest that I was able to find on any records.

    Surname : TETER

    Christian Name : Jan

    Fathers Name : Wojciech

    Date of Birth : 1915

    Army Number : (also found on His ID tags) : 1915-87-III

    Unit : Kwatery Glownej 5 Wil. Bryg.Piech. (HQ 5th Wilno Infantry Brigade, 5KDP).

    The only other piece of information that I was able to find was his arrest in 1940 by the NKVD in Równe.
