A soldier from the 11th battalion is not on the Żdanowicz list and probably did not return to Poland.


PAWŁOWSKI Władysław note Żdanowicz list.
Ps.I do not need the MCC number,although I can approximate it.MCC in the range of numbers 10400-10445.
Ps.2:I can assure you that I have never seen the original list decorated with crosses on my eyes.
If it's not a secret, would you describe two more IDs?

Plut. Andrzej Filipowski 1BSK.



Recipient details as follows: St.Strz. Władysław Matusik, Born in 1915, Army Number: 1915-32-III, Unit 2BSK.



Recipients details as follows: Plut. Antoni Angowski, Fathers Name: Władysław, Born in 1904, Army Number: 1904-17-III, Unit 14BS.



Recipients details as follows: Kpr Władysław Rygielski, Fathers Name: Andrzej, Born in 1906, Army Number: 1906-72-III, Unit 5PAL.



Recipients details as follows: Szer Władysław Pawłowski, Born in 1918, Army Number: 1918-15-III, Unit 11BL.

The other MCC Numbered 40213 was awarded to Saper Antoni Polaszczak, Born in 1898, Army Number : 1898-89-III, Unit 301 Kompania Saperow.

About MCC 40213:
it is not original. It is a good replica. The material is different from the original. Get mixed with it. The differences between the numbers 0 ,2 and 3 are different. I especially bought to see what it was made of. Someone had a good matrix, but did not work on the digits.
This is the best copy of this cross at my place.

Many thanks for your post, do you own this Cross if so it would be nice to see photographs of it.


When awarded the Recipients details were as follows:

Rank : Podporucznik (2nd Lieutenant)

Surname: Krzysztofowicz

Christian Name: Aleksander

Date of Birth : 1908

Army Number : (also found on His ID Tags) : 1908-52-III

Unit : 1st Supply and Transport Company, 3DSK

After the end of the war he came to the UK and after being demobbed he married Kazimiera Mielnik and they lived at 6 Arboretum Square in Derby,
Aleksander applied for British Citizenship and this was granted on the 10th January 1967 whilst working has a Builder, Certificate Number: BNA92005.

Aleksander died on the 27th July 1982 in Derby and Kazimiera (Born in 1912) died on the 30th August 1999 whilst still living at 6 Arboretum Square.

That is all the information that I have been able to glean for you Submariner, I hope it is of some use and help to you.
