Hello Everyone
One more secret. Due to the lack of the available recipient list of MCC
I have compiled on the basis of available sources from around the world and the Internet own list of awarded items. I have about 15,000 polish soldiers,awarded MC'C.

Ps.:In Polish scientific institutions I came across a problem in obtaining information about Polish soldiers as if it were secret and rubbish information.
In my opinion, such information should be public.

Ps.1:The second problem in Polish institutions is the payment for all information and documents.
Ps.2:That is why many people give up searching for information about soldiers PSZ.

Ps.3:Some people ask me. I help them as I can and I do not charge, I am a collector and I treat it as my hobby.

Many thanks for your post, if you have been reading the past post's over the years, hopefully by the end of this year the PISM will be publishing the List of recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross it might be in 3 or 4 Volumes.

Many thanks for your post re Julian Maj, I have been able to glean the following information for you:

Date of Birth: 7th January 1907

Date of Death: 28 August 1982

When awarded the Monte Cassino Cross his details were as follows:

Rank: Porucznik

Army Number: (Also found on His ID Tags) : 1907-180-III

Monte Cassino Cross Numbered: 26776

Unit: 6KSanit, 5KDP.

He was also awarded the KW (1939-1945) and the SKZzM.

Whilst surfing the internet this morning I came across the following photograph I have already posted this recipient in post 366 on page 37 of this thread, but that was a post war photograph taken in his 70's or 80's, whilst the one below is from the end of the war



Porucznik Józef PŁACHCIŃSKI

He fought at Monte Cassino as a Podporucznik with the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Battalion, 1st Carpathian Rifle Brigade, by the end of the war he had been promoted to Porucznik and transferred to the 7BSK.

He had received the Ribbon for wounds with 1 Star, the Virtuti Militari Cross Numbered: 11407, the Cross of Valour, the Army Medal, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 1735, the British 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, 1939-1945 Defence Medal and the 1939-1945 War Medal.
