Hello Artur,
With regards to Bolesław SOBOLEWSKI, I have searched through the Regimental History Dzieje 1 Pułku Ułanów Krechowieckich 1941-1947 Published by. Veritas Fundation Publication Centra. London in 2002 ISBN 0-948202-99-8.
The Only SOBOLEWSKI that are listed are as follows:
1) Ulan. Adolf SOBOLEWSKI
2) Major Karol SOBOLEWSKI
3) Ppor. Stanisław SOBOLEWSKI
4) Plut. Władysław SOBOLEWSKI
No other SOBOLEWSKI listed in 1PUL and Bolesław is not listed in the Register of the Recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross.
Best wishes
Andrzej

Hello TMZ,
The following is from the section on Polish Orders Decorations of the Republic of Poland 1939-1989 by Krzysztof Barbarski, published in Polonia Restituta in 1989.
He states:
The Monte Cassino Cross was awarded to:
1) those members of the 2nd Polish Corps who took a direct part in the action at Monte Cassino, Piedimonte and Passo Corno, between 12 and 31 May 1944.
2) to members of the 2nd Polish Corps wounded in action between 27 April and 31 May 1944
3) Personnel of the 1st, 161st (former 2nd) and 3rd Hospitals, posthumously to those members of the 2nd Polish Corps who died on the field of battle, or from wounds sustained during the period 27 April to 31 May 1944.
I hope that the above information answers your question TMZ.
Best wishes
Andrzej
