    Hello Artur,

Unfortunately the archive Reading Room is closed during February 2018, if you wish to visit then you can either telephone or write Booking a Seat in the Reading Room, from March onwards.

Everything is straight forward on the PISM website

    IPMS Oficjalna Strona Internetowa

If you wish to write then the Best person to contact would be Dr. Andrzej Suchcitz, if it is to enquire about what they have in the Archives, otherwise they do charge for Research £25.00p up to 2 Hours of research, with no guarantee of finding anything.

It would probably be wise to write asking what material they have on the subject you are searching for first awaiting their reply may take 5-6 Months as stated on the website.

In the past I have looked through the 5BCKM Chronicle, KW awards to the 2nd Corps, KZzM awards to the 2nd Corps, PAF Squadrons, Medal Wojska awarded to the 2nd Corps. Polish Awards during WW2 to all units (1st Arm.Div. 2nd Corps), PAF Service Records, Photograph Albums of the Polish Armed Forces During WW2 etc.

The Museum has the reading room on the 2nd Floor and the Archives are also held on the 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor, 4th Floor and Basement (these last 3 are not open to the public).

I hope that the above answers your question Artur.

    Best wishes

    Andrzej

Thank you so much Artur for translating all that writing, I appreciate it very much. I rang the Sikorski Museum and when I said he was sworn in at the end of May he said He must not have been amongst the battle itself, but yet the other page says he was part of the battle of the 2nd Corps from the 24th April -31st May 1944 ? I’m so confused now.

I do not know if such a position is in a notebook, because I do not have such a page from soldier's notebook.

    and
"Third Carpathian Rifles Division 1942-1947",ed. London 1991.
