    Listen to what happened yesterday...:

    Zbigniew CZERYBA, the grandson of Jan MOLIŃSKI, the oldest brother of Piotr MOLIŃSKI, came in. There are still aunts from the house MOLIŃSKA ...-nee.
    There are still a few aunts of Mr. Zbigniew Czeryba.


    I think the CAW deposit number 2354 will soon be released to the family ...
    I will also help you get an APPLICATION FROM MOD, UK.

    ułan Piotr MOLIŃSKI was killed at Chienti in Italy on the 27th June 1944, he was buried nearby and after the end of the war his body was exhumed and buried in the Polish War Cemetery at Loreto in grave 10-D-5

    Many thanks for your post, the information you requested is listed below:

    1) Pplk dypl. .Stanisław Olgierd Jaskold-Gabszewicz, Born : 23rd February 1907, army Nr: 1907-118-III, Monte Cassino Cross Nr : 38, Unit : KGD2K, Virtuti Militari Nr : 8538

    No further information found on this officer post war.

    2) Major Józef Ćwiąkalski, Born 17th March 1900, Not awarded the Monte Cassino Cross, no further information post war.

    3) Major Jerzy Leon Gędzierski, Born : 8th February 1906, at,y Nr: 1906-160-III, Monte Cassino Cross Nr|: 15468, Unit 13BS.

    Post war he came with his unit to the UK and settled in Leicester where he died on the 2nd October 1992 and was buried in the Welford Road Cemetery in Leicester.

    4) Pplk. Ludwik Ziobrowski, Born : 8th August 1905, Army Nr: 1905-91-III, Monte Cassino Cross Nr: 16237, Unit : 14BS, Virtuti Militari Nr: 8793, Died 9th June 1946 and was buried in Bologna War Cemetery.

    Although the List goes up to 48821 + those written on to the list, I was amazed that Oberleitner missed them off and even Professor Wesolowski's list uses the one shown above missed the additional numbers off his list.

    Arrested by the Soviets 24 July 1940.Joned the Anders Army in the USSR 24 October 1941.
    Wound 19 April 1945.He played in the regimental football team.Returned to Poland.Lived Żurawica,died 29 December 2010.
    Awarded:KWx2;Army Medal x1,basic British set,Cross Merito d'Guerra-Italian,Bachelor's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland,Cross of the Polish Armed Forces in the West,regimental p6p badge.

    Ułan MOLIŃSKI Piotr MCC number 30069 & lance sergeat DOMASZEWICZ Franciszek MCC 29805-was in the same tank.Unit:1 Pułk Ułanów Krechowieckich (1st Lancers Regiment).
    That's why I was looking for a family MOLIŃSKI'S.
