    Hello Konrad,

I have looked through the Register of Recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross and also looked on the Kresy-siberia site, they only list 1 Turlej Józef who was a Strz. serving in the 3KBCKM, Born in 1909, Army Number : 1909-36-III, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered 12949 also by the end of the war he had been awarded the Krzyż Walecznych (Cross of Valour).

Unfortunately Konrad he was the only one that I was able to find.

Thank you Andrzej for your help, once again.

Regarding Jan Turlej I put a picture of his medals. I just wonder why he is not on the list of MMC recipients...

    Hello Konrad,

Many thanks for your post, it might well be that he joined the 2nd Corps after Monte Cassino and went on to fight at Ancona, Bologna etc.

He does not appear on the 3DSK List so he must have been either 5KDP, 2BPanc, Artillery or other services.

    Best wishes

    Andrzej

Attention is also drawn to the lack of Defence Medal in this set. Pretty strange, I think.

    Thank you Andrzej,
    Konrad
