Mystery Badge

[Chris Szypulewski]

In the following pictures there is a badge that my uncle is wearing on his uniform. This picture was taken between 1939-1942. 309 squadron maybe 305 squadron.This badge is not mentioned in the medals awarded report from the RAF. This is not the 309 or 305 badges. To me it looks like its on its side and what looks like a Polish eagle. Any Thoughts?????

Could it be one of the pre-war type "Sports badges" ? (POS).

.. A Pre-war Polish Military sports badge.
Comes in three grades ... Bronze, Silver and gold.

Remember though, this is only a suggestion ...also this badge would most probably not appear on his war record in the West.

I have about 125 pictures of his and this is the only one that he is wearing the badge, thats odd
