Gentlemen! I checked with the Sikorski Institute regarding this badge and I also sent them scans. Are you sitting down? To my astonishment they said it was in fact made for Poles in 1940! They are sending me scans of the "projekt" made by Kpt. Zartownik. So the plot thickens!
Hello Ivan,
Thank you for your perseverance in hunting down an answer to our little mystery here. Yes indeed, the plot thickens! Eagerly awaiting more information on this. If it proves to be a Polish badge after all then someone may want to take advantage of what may be a bargain price for one of these in the auction link provided by Ze-Pole (closing April 6th).
Thanks again Ivan.

I guess I better make one more addition to my last post before I get banned from both the forum and the Sikorski for life.....
....April Fool!!!!!

Great joke!
J'adore! (= I love !)
Ze-Pole
and I fell for it.....
and Antek - blouse/coat ???? please don't tell me I got gotten TWICE !
Hahahaha – count me a fool as well!
But on an entirely serious note, one of our forum members is in fact pursuing this matter via the Sikorski people. Hope to receive something definitive in the near future.
Cheers,
Tony
PS – GFC, re the blouse vs jacket, no joke there!
