    Hello,
Here is the legitymlacja from 1rst Grendiers Division, from first lieutnant Bronislaw BIEL.
This office fought in Poland in 1939, in France in 1940, was made prisonner by german troops, managed to escape later, and joined the free polish forces in UK. He was officer of the 8th Rifles Batallion of 1rst Polish Armored Division and fought during all the campaign in 1944-1945.

just to add to the mix, unmarked Kirkwood. notice the hob shear marks on the edge of badge, the characteristic of a die struck piece.

    Hi
    Thank You for the pictures
My K&S badge (posted above and commented eloquently on by Tony) has the same marks.
    Where did you got yours?
I got my one with some 2 Cor related item – unfortunately there was no ID

    Fellows
Shall we try to debate the badge of 1 Brygada Strzelcow .
To my knowledge there had been 2 types both made by K&S
Smaller (silver) and bigger (sort of brass) – both well marked K&S

Does anybody know numbers as to how many had been made of both types?

I seem to recall this badge being discussed elsewhere on this forum. In any event, here are the K&S and the M. Rubin Tel Aviv versions. There are other known versions / variants as well, although these two are the recognized official types.

    Tony

Thanks - exceptional pictures – thank You.
I have been looking for the 1mall version for some time now – no luck – have to live with disappointment for now.

Tony – on something else – please pick a badge for our next discussion – this forum is excellent and quality is created by all of us here.
I am sure there is a badge that is “bothering You” - I will enjoy the next debate!

    Looking forward to having it
    A
