Many thanks for your post of your recent acquisition, it looks to me to be alright an original with retaining nut, If my memory serves me correct, I believe that one of the Forum members has a list of recipients of the 5BCKM Badge.
The only pity is that it did not come with the Legitymacja or anything else to give us an idea of the recipients identity

My first post in ages... The CKM BAON badge with the number 657 was issued to Strzelec (Private) Anotni Wroblewski with service number 30060547.

Nice to have you back on the Forum, the Service Number 30060547 would have been his Polish Resettlement Corps Number, Now I can confirm the following information delimata.
The Recipient Strz. Antoni Wróblewski, Born in 1913, Army Number (also found on His ID Tags) : 1913-129-III, Unit : 5BCKM, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 25089.
No doubt some one out there knows of the where about's of the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered 25089.

Date of Birth : 1916
Fathers Name : Jan
Army Number : 1916-317-III
Unit : 5BCKM, 5KDP.
Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 25003
Wojciech was in the Army pre 1939 and in the September Campaign was captured by the soviets in Łuck, after the german invasion of the Russia in 1941 he was released and joined the Anders Army at Tatszczewo on the 4th September 1941.
After the end of the war he came to the UK with his Battalion, and settled down to civilian life in Bury, Lancashire. In 1974 he applied for and was granted British Citizenship whilst living at 70 Horne Street in Bury on the 17th September 1974.
Wojciech died in 1997 in Bury, Lancashire.
I did find a pre war photograph of him for you to see.
