Default Polish tunics - in practice

    Hi guys,

I thought that instead of guessing our way about how badges were worn on tunics and how tunics used by Polish formations looked in general, starting a new thread would be a good way to go about it.

Everybody please feel welcome to add more photos .

    Cheers,
    Jacek

Hi Jacek, this is indeed a great idea for a thread.

The photo in post 3 which shows the soldier in what looks like a US Enlisted Man's Class A uniform I found very interesting.

    Cheers, Ade.

Please note how metal collar badges were applied directly on the tunic, without using branch specific "patki".

Another interesting find was how the 1 Brygada Strzelcow was used. Some soldiers wore it above left side pocket while other seem to have attached it in the center on the left side pocket.

    Cheers,
    Jacek

Even thought these soldier are from the same PAL unit in the 2 Warszawska DPanc, they are not using the same type collar insignia. The two NCOs on the right have the Lorioli made green and black collar pennons while the other soldiers have cloth "patki" (collar patches).

    Cheers,
    Jacek
