does anybody know for definite the markings on unissued badges ? apart from the standard attributable personnel number and the 800 silver content number on issued badges, examples exist with hard to decipher markings, eg: A.S CO ?, Ag 800 ?, A&S CO, A.800 ? A.SCO ? and whatever permutation your brain decides upon !

The only original issued one's I've handled (about 20 or so) have had the straight number issue and 800 silver mark.
I can't recall any further lettering on any of them.
