Hi NIck, it is a long while since I have been to an air show too? They started to get a bit costly to attend. Here is a link for Waddington 2010.

They have really conjured up the thought of being at an airshow on a hot summer day with the drone of Merlins,the screech of jet engines, the hustle and bustle at the Milirtaria stands , picnic and a few beers

Its a must !

I got the Waddo air show every year and its been going down hill recently. The last one was to clelebrate Nato or somthing like that, and the only fast jet that really did a show was the Typhoon dispaly of XXX Sqn. The year before they did a small exercise to finish which was the best I've seen. They had a Centry with Tornado F3 escort on cap, followed by Tornado GR4s carrying out a strike, followed by ground troops in a Chinook with cover from the Lynx and Appache. Then there was a simulated threat on the Centry and the troops withdrew to allow the GR4s to carry out a second strike. It was nice to see all the Aircraft operating together rather than as a seperate formation.
