The B-17 in Thanatos's thread, if I remember correctly, did not make it back. If you look closely, the whole cockpit, incl. pilot and co-pilot, were blown off. Danny

Great photo Look at the way he is trimmed. Looks like he still had decent control of the aircraft as the control surfaces are not maxed out.
