It flew over my house yesterday evening, probably on the way back to Coningsby, we're on the approach but the Lanc normally takes a diffrent approach. We normal see the DC3, the Spits and the Hurricanes so it was a nice change to see the Lanc.
I'm lucky that I work on the opposite side of the runway to BBMF so I get to see them through most of the summer. BBMF used to post there flying schedules on the Inet, and it includes all the little fetes and things that they do flypasts for.
Excellent shots Steve!!
If anyone watches some footage filmed out side BBMF of 2 Spits and a Huricane for the 70th aniversary, and they see a idiot in a Black Focus drive past trying to take a photo and not watching where he was going, that was me!
Battle of Britain day in the UK today but don't forget the "Bomber Boys" were engaged in the Battle of the Barges at this time bombing the German and continental ports to destroy the fleet of German invasion barges.

Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.

Great shots of this magnificent old bird..........!
Thanks for posting them, Steve.

Steve.
Great shots of a wonderful aircraft, i consider myself lucky because the BBMF fly over my house quite often so i get a grandstand view of the Lanc , spits a nd hurricane, they have to fly lower because of the approach path to Stanstead Airport, you cant beat the sound of Merlin engines, it always sends a shiver up the spine
