Fighter windshield.

Article about: Thanks for the info Matt. It is still pretty clear other than the edges and one spot. I can read through it pretty well. Still sitting on the coffee table collecting dust. Your wish has come

Last time i saw anything like this it was priced at around £200-£300!! Its a fantastic item and there are collectors out there who would pay good money to own it. I used to specialise in these kinds of Luftwaffe relics but just dont have the finance available to collect the 'big' money pieces like this. If it was mine i would hang onto it and try and make a worthy display for it as its great piece! Regards, Tim.

Hi Mike, sadly you will not get a reply about this. Rudy has passed away and I do not know what happened to this item after his estate was sold.

    Cheers, Ade.

    oh no!

I saw the "In memoriam" status on his page, and I wasn't quite sure as he seemed quite young.

If you ever get further info, or if anyone finds this piece, please contact me directy...

    TIA

By coincidence, I think it had found its way to me... I am not sure whether mine is exactly the same as the one which Rudi had posted. But judging from the condition(red primer and residue of RLM 66 paint) and glass tinting(greenish), it might be the same. I had it installed on a Bf 109 instrument panel I am building. It is installed not exactly the same way as the original should be. Because of the weight and structural concern, I had to compromise.... However it looks nice.
