    Glad I found this thread. I recently bought a photo album of a guys national service and there is a pic of these aircraft in it. Glad I found out what they are. Nice work on the restoration

    There is a static Gannet near me at the Yorkshire Air Museum

    Thanks for posting the pics Greg, a funny looking squat dumpy aircraft that also somehow has a unique charm to it.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    It is an odd looking plane. I had seen pictures of it during
    the restoration but had not seen it in person untill last Friday.
    I was blown away at how tall this thing was. It's a real beast.

    Last night I was watching the Channel 5 news out of St.Paul Mn, and they had
    a story featuring this very plane and showed some in flight footage.

    Interesting that it's almost 2 years sense I posted pictures. I guess they we
    a little late to the party.
