    Yes looks like a Junkers engine to me ,there should be some stamps found on it which would help ID it

    Thanks for the information. I am fairly sure it came off a Heinkel 111. Its has been in the sea a while so markings are all rusted away. Here is the prop and reduction gear that was found with it.

    As far as i know the JU87 and JU88 had wooden props so you could be right with it coming from a HE111

    Definitely a twin engine aeroplane, there were two engines and two propellers.
