Default RCN Beechcraft Model 18 restoration

Not sure if anyone's interested in restoring planes on here but im a aircraft structural engineer and I volunteer at my local aviation museum and currently we are restoring a beechcraft model 18 which was flown and used by the royal canadian navy in the 50's and than was later converted for sky divers in Quebec, so about a couple years ago it was found in a field in Quebec and was sitting there for over a decade. Currently we are repairing the holes in the fuselage and wings etc. and the botched up repairs they did back in the day( they put car bondo in the holes instead of repairing the skin). We have the engines and wings we just need to find or fabricate missing parts we need. I can keep it updated as the restoration goes on.RCN Beechcraft Model 18 restorationRCN Beechcraft Model 18 restorationRCN Beechcraft Model 18 restorationRCN Beechcraft Model 18 restorationRCN Beechcraft Model 18 restoration

    Good luck with the restoration.
I learned to fly insturments in a Navy SNB - which the AF called a C45 - which is a Beech 18.
    Nice stable flying bird!

So is the restoration going to make this baby airworthy?

I look forward to this story having a happy ending

Unfortunately no due to the museum not having the necessary parts and such and also were raising money for another hangar for more planes but we are going to make this plane historically accurate as possible.

I can appreciate all of the work involved with doing a restoration like that.
A couple of years ago, my Brother in Law helped to restore a 50s era
    torpedo bomber. See here-------
