    Nick-by that late in the war, German aircraft were painted in very muted schemes, keeping a low profile for obvious reasons...the only exceptions being FW 190Ds assigned to provide top cover for jet bases-painted red and white stripes underneath so their own flak batteries wouldn't brass them up.

    Known as the "Papagei", parrot in English. They were serviced in Jv-44.
