Most likely a stinker. Mr. Mint has a special hatred of this type. He might explain it, as it is outside my area of knowledge.

Do look at his depot of real NSDAP PL caps.

This depot requires tribute, but it is worth the dough, to be sure.
Why waste money on lousy caps when you can avoid the traps.
I agree with FB, I do not like this cap.
Thanks guys.
Since the point was not made above with any clarity, this "deutsche Wertarbeit" logo is considered by some as a fake.
The phrase "deutsche Wertarbeit" does appear in caps, but this particular item seems dubious.
Happy hats. Jeff Clark has nice NSDAP caps and he is a solid source, I think.
Bob Coleman is also very expert in this material.
F-B is correct. Many of these PL "Deutsche Wertarbeit" originated with a dealer out of Germany in the 1990s.
Although the y had the same logo, they had different RZM #s (among other things).
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
compare the material used in a genuine cap with the course wool used on this stinker. Without a doubt, a 4th Reich product.
