Hi FB if it is a Wille for sure, then my friend is mistaken on the number being ''105'' and it is a ''195'' instead?

Correct. The bulk of black SS caps one sees tend to be made by a handful of makers, but I won't generalize further.

I am no friend of the cult lists of makers.

More were made than we know.

However, I am sure this is a Wille as is Ben VK.,

I found nice insignia for the cap. They are zinc ones which means is a wrong match but somehow they are more affordable. The Cupal ones cost more than 1000 euros which i am not willing to pay. I prefer to get a camo helmet or an untouched tunic for that price

I respect your opinion but i disagree. It's a matter of a personal preference anyway

It will look much better even with these on rather than to remain blank as it is now.

I respect your opinion as well, I truly do, but I ask myself would you put a 2013 mustang part on a 1967 mustang? To me it makes no sense. They were not meant for that hat so why put them on there? Sure, maybe now you can buy another item, but if it were mine, I'd always see it as incomplete. I'd either save up until I could afford the correct insignia or sacrifice the other item.

Anyways, it's not my hat, therefore my opinion doesn't matter. They are both fine items, congratulations.

I understand your point although the Mustang example is not a 100% correct comparison IMO.
If i had an untouched cap like those that F-B owns i wouldn't put on the zincers.
But this is a reconstructed-reworked blank cap. These insignia would feel the gap nicely for the moment and IF in the future i find a cheap cupal set i can always replace them.
It's not a non returnable situation.

I had the time yesterday to shot some photos of my own and some nice close ups.
The liner has been sewn through the band unfortunately but you have to raise the sweatband to see it. So once on display it won't distract. I have marked the threads to see it.
Behind the crown there is a piece of metal attached, i guess to hold/form it. Was that placed their originally or is it something that was fixed during reconstruction by the film studio?
