Note the "story" about the lost skull--when this thing was making the rounds just a few months ago, it did have a skull (albeit fake):
"A fantastic and 100% original allgermine generals cap, with all the correct stamped NGOs and marks, it also comes with its original cap eagle marked on reverse ss 475/39. These caps where original worn before the war and into the first year of war, unfortunately when I squired this in Germany many years ago of a family the skull was missing, but you can still buy the original skulls on militaria sites. Cap in great condition."
