Well after careful inspection with better lighting no luck could not see any marking indicating its an Erel.
I had the same problem with my late war Erel, looking and looking this way and that in natural and artificial light but no trace of a logo on the sweat diamond
So Should I assume its not a Erel ?
For me its an erel early cap...look a similar exemple :
I do see that look alike possible right. Thanks for showing your example.
Here is the inside of my Erel Infantry circa 1934/35. It is marked as a kleidekasse cap, the erel logo is very faint but definitely there.
North 55 your cap shows very similar traits and the buckram cap band is not unusual in this style of caps. I have a pre ww1 officers field cap with a buckram band and seen many a ww1 officers cap with one.
Hope that helps..........the cap itself I like btw.
cheers
Tony
