Default Black SS NCO visor cap

This nice cap has also come up for auction in addition to the grey SS cap I posted on a separate thread. The Danziger skull and eagle are authentic but the rest of the cap is above my pay grade. I also like the look of Edelweiss badge but I'm not sure of it's significance on this type of cap. Please enlighten me. Thanks, Al.

It's a Hochland Edelweiss usually worn on SA or NSKK hats, by members from the Hochland area.
I miss F-B when such hats come up for comment.

I'm not convinced by this cap at all, and I'd suggest avoiding it. Some things look OK, but some important features are wrong...

Can't say much. F-B. would have known the final answer, a pity he
no longer is amongst us apparently.
There is a round stamp in the inner, which I do not like for example.
The Edelweiss should not be worn with such cap by SS!

& odd that it has the early insignia with the later RZM tag.
As with the other visor, I would like to see more under the hood photos.

Thank you, it is an emedals offering and they often sell items without proper vetting. I was really interested in the use of the Edelweiss because I have not seen it used on this type of cap. As for F-B is there something I missed about his absence ? His contributions and input are invaluable. Thank you for the response.

Unfortunately, some high-end fakes have been dumped thru emedals of late.
They are a good dealer, but visors are not their specialty.

I will say I like the gray one from the limited photos, but they never post under the hood shots.

I agree. I buy through them often but because of the high volume of sales, a lot of fakes get through.
