Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
I would darf to say that ;the visor as been added, and looks a older type of visor.
On the other hand, especialy the sight view ...it looks nice!

Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
Pleats are flapping in the wind, open holes in the visor. At best a screwed with Verein piece. Ben, do you have a link to the ebay auction?

I think others had the same doubts because the bidding didn't go very high.

Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
An interesting one Ben.
The shape for me is wrong certainly for an Imperial cap. The construction leads me to think it may be a 1930's made "repro" at the best and worst a total hash up.
I agree with the lining construction coments by Stonemint, they would make some nice curtains with the spare material.
Rare cap, minty condition sold on e bay.............caveat emptor.

Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
Apart from the fibre peak and the lining is it common to see the sweat band with two individual seams

Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
I agree, it is a 1930's piece for a veteran of Husaren-Regt. König Humbert von Italien (1.Kurhessisches) Nr.13 (Diedenhofen) XVI Armee Korps. I personally like these verein pieces. Too bad it was mucked with.

I beleive this is another 1930's "replica".

Re: A dubious Imperial cap for review
Ben
I reckon this one is even later than 1930...............maybe by another 80 years !
The interior looks brand new........oh, maybe it is ?
