Hi corkym909,
have a look at the sweatshield - what does it say? Compare to originals on this forum. Then the sweatband. Does it, by the way, have perforations at the front saying "PEKÜRO"? - A dead sure give-away.
Here is another fake: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attac...isor-_57-1.jpg just like yours.
And an original one: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attac...g-img_0704.jpg
Compare the colour and the material of the "wasserdicht" (waterproof) lining of the top-panel.
Thank you , so the pekuro war time issues have there name in the sweat band and the oil cloth type lining ? Is this the same for all non political visors of the time made by pekuro ??
No, you got me wrong there: when there is the name PEKÜRO perforated in the front part of the sweat band you can be sure it is a post war cap.
What concerns the oil cloth type lining: there are Peküro caps (mostly EM/NCO caps for police, firemen etc.) which have this lining as seen on the photo of the original cap, officer's caps mostly had silk or rayon etc. lining as to be seen here: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attac...-skull-003.jpg
or here: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attac...s-dsc00754.jpg
Gotcha , thank you for that information. I never knew that so now I won't be fooled again
