Hey guys what do you think about this one?
Hey guys what do you think about this one?
To me this cap is reminiscent of the Russian caps used during the 70s, the top covering is tight and the amount of rake to the shape appears wrong, but wait for more comments
Thanks davejb! Now that you said it, I notice that the shape is strange too, but I am looking at the insignias and to the construction at all too (excluding the shape), they look nice, but i am not an expert.

It appears to be the early teller form dress cap. I think it is a good cap.

are there any markings under the sweatband.
I agree as well, I think this cap is fine. : )
original pre war cap
Thanks everybody for the replies! I would like to buy a one from the war period. So, would you guys mind tell me how could I know if a cap is original and how to tell if it is from the war epoch or befor? I can't find any reference book about visor caps, only about helmets and medals.
regards
No easy answer to the originality question. Lots of different factors come onto play.
Gary Wilkins book on headgear is a good place to start.
