German infantry NCO's peaked cap, real or fake.

Article about: hey guys, I'm pretty sure this is an original but just want a second opinion please, looks good although the peak has been re-attached. Thanks a lot guys

    Glenny, it would have more value if you restored it with proper Weimar insignia as per this one:

    Shea has a set of insignia which would go quite well with this cap:

    Hi

    You can also get good insignia on german e -bay. type in reichswehr in the search engine. Prices vary so shop around. You will need a silver wreath not gold for the infantry cap and you also need the reichsadler cockade.

    If you need a state cockade for the crown search under Kokardes and select 1871 - 1918 for a view of period ww1 state cockades. again prices vary depending on the state. I would say the whoile lot should cost no more than £30 plus p&p. All you need then is a chinstrap and buttons. These come in at about £40.

    hope this helps your budget ! If you go TR 1st pattern eagle and wreath will cost you a bit more....if you can find a good one.
