    Default Heer Feldmütze: fake/repro?

Got my doubts on this cap, way too clean, writing is way too legible, zero corrosion on the vent holes. My uneducated guess is it's not real, but?

Canadian seller, who turns out to be Russian, and not to be picking on anyone, but something is lost in translation... as he's trying to assuage my fears that it is not a TR issued cap, at least it brings a little humor into an otherwise drab day.

These items are discussed at the Russian site, and have been recognized by 100% originals. If they are to be discussed anywhere, they are fakes from this will not be!
Here, too, forage cap in good condition, it is also your fake?
    The Collector's Guild
I sure don't like the sewing job on that white piping, doesn't look right?

If any of the "originals" here care to weigh in?

    What would Ade say?

It doesn't give me warm fuzzy feelings.
    Piping is bogus.
The cap has more stamps in it than the post office.
I don't believe much of anything being said from the area you mentioned now a days.
    Just a personal opinion.

Ade says it is real. But the Soutach has most likely been added. In hand will confirm. I would buy it.

The maker was from Neudamm, now Dębno a town now in Myślibórz County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thx Ade ;-)

Would a Soutach have been added back then, and what is the significance of the white strip, denoting Heer?

    White soutache is for Infantry.

    White = Infanterie

The soutach was discontinued during the war in order to save time and money.

    Cheers, Ade.
