original cap but I'm not sure that the eagle is a cap eagle, it looks too large from your photos Could you take a front end shot?
It does look very much like a breast eagle that's been sewn to the cap. Period done in lieu of a cap eagle, perhaps?

Pretty sure this one Its a panzer side cap put into the use of the Kriegsmarine. If you ever see KM side caps that are pure black that's probably the case. Hope I provided guidance for this thread. Best regardsby stonemint

In my opinion, this item is bad from A to Z
The Feldmütze itself lacks the most important part, eyelets......for me it's a repro, the Hoheitsabzeichen is a fake cap eagle...concerning the cockade, a closer photo is needed...
below a photo of the fake eagle that shows the wrong feature for the fourth feather.....
and how it should look for a genuine example.....
