Luftwaffe Feldmarschall's Schirmmütze

Article about: Yup, the HG was Pauls. I also hat the opportunity to personally inspect it. The embroidery is a work of art:

    Hi guys,

    I can't afford this thing so I am not interested in purchasing it. I just want to learn more about it. What do you all think of this cap?

    I think you will find this is a Reichmarschal's ie Goring's pattern of cap?

    I have been doing a bit of research, Ade. From what I have learned there were 6 Luftwaffe Field Marshalls. I can only find photos of Goering wearing this type of cap. I am going ot assume that this one is most likely a fake...

    Thats a fair effort to go to with all that bullion work to be done, I guess the price being asked must heavily outweigh the expense of creation, assuming it is a fake.

    It is up for auction, I think maybe at Affiliated Auctions? I can't remember now but I can check later. The starting bid I think was $20,000!
