Do these two hats look original to you? How much in your opinion should these go for in dollars? Are they authentic?

Someone told me once that Winter caps are not popular with fakers yet. I'm not sure but Ade would probably know.

Have you seen them in person, does the leather have an odor? I learned while looking for bayonet frogs that leather looses its smell after 15 years.

1st cap is definitly a good one . Value 500.00 to 600.00 USD. The second I have never seen before.

Both are good, and both are not such a easy-to-find examples, a agree with Steve.

The white version is certainly faked. Be careful on these.

Thanks Ewan for your comment, however I do like the look and features of the other cap but then this is just my opinion as I've had very little hands on experience and can only judge by what is in my own collection. Thanks again, Hal

Hello,

First cap is an original Pelzmütze, but with reaplied insignia.
The price seems resonable for this condition.

The second one is only the third example of this version that I have encountered thusfar. It hase certain features that makes me conclude that this is an original example- construction and markings-. I will however not elaborate this, as I don't think that this information is crucial to the discussion and above that might come in handy to fakers around the globe.
