Hi Guys,
Here is a other question, it is a M42 Jager Field Cap, I was wondering if someone has some information about this one.https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/images/icons/icon7.png

looks like a Janke fake to me,I could be wrong, see what others say.
Sorry to say, but Harry is correct. Herr Janke made this.
Problems:
Once again an embroidered insignia, but this pattern in "T" form was only ever made in machine woven format.
The Jager oakleaf should be in metal.
Material is simply too good.
Plus this is not a true Bergmutze. The cut is wrong as the peak is too large.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi Guys,
Thanks again, sorry for not posting an answer straightaway but I had to go out. I believe it is not my lucky day, I wonder what the rest will be. I will post one again later.
No worries.
Even if it is bad news, it is always best to know.
They will still have a worth to a re-enactor.
Cheers, Ade.

I have a copy of a SS cap, it is without any emblems and i use it when hunting or fishing when i am back in the cold countries. When the cold winds begin to blow, i just fold it down and i dont freeze some much on my ears. Keeps me warm when sitting around the fire at night.
So yes replica caps has always a way to be used.
