Mannschaftsschildmütze - Good / Bad

Hello All,
I'm thinking about opening out my collecting field, moving into Cloth Headgear. This cap is up for sale at a local auction house is it original ?and how much do they trade for, I want to put a reasonable bid in. This is the only photo I have. Its a new field to me.

looks like its made from sacking material, I know the Germans were struggling towards the end, but i doubt things were that bad

Probably postwar made for farmers use, by a german Einheisfeldmuetze fashion, I do not think that soldier will use that one from a bad material, instead of official issue. IMO the insignia is nowaday applied to the circa- 45-55 year "farmers" hat

Thanks everyone for the postings. I'll give it a miss.- Its a bit galling to think, its being sold through a respected, long-established auction house, who are supposed to vet everything before entering anything in the catologue and up for sale.
